INCLEMENT WEATHER
In preparation for the upcoming winter months we want every family to be aware of the procedure for inclement weather days. We follow the directive of the Bethlehem Area School District in matters of school closings and delayed openings. Listen and watch for announcements on snowy/icy days on:
B104.1 FM
Channel 69
WLEV 100.7
Also, please complete and return the pink “Inclement Weather Form” which is in your Family Folder. This will help us to insure your child’s safety in the case of an unexpected early dismissal.
Please note: We do not call parents about Early Dismissals. If you are unable to listen for closings please ask a relative or friend to listen for you and to contact you. Thank you.
WALK-A-THON
The third annual Seton Academy Walk-a-Thon (“Seton Stomp”) was held on Friday, October 24th. The weather was absolutely perfect for walking! Many people assisted with the Walk-a-Thon and even more provided financial support. We thank them all. We would like to especially acknowledge and express our appreciation to Mrs. Alison Shields and Mrs. Karen Bartelt, chairwomen, for the many hours of time and talent they have given to this project, beginning last June. We couldn’t have done it without you!
We are also grateful to Alvarez Orthodontics and Keystone Code Consulting and Enforcement for sponsoring the cost of the T-shirts; Mr. Brunell for his daily assistance; the parents who helped on Walk-a-Thon Day and all of those who provided treats and snacks for the children. And now for the Grand Total – the Seton Academy students, families, friends and relatives raised over $22,000. for our school!!! May God bless all of you for your generosity!
IMPORTANT REMINDERS

HOW YOU CAN HELP US!
Seton Academy is raising money again this year for purchases made to benefit our school and children. Click on the logos below to view the official websites.
You can help by participating in the Campbell's Labels for Education™ Program. It’s easy! Campbell's Labels for Education™ program is an easy, fun way to help schools in your neighborhood get free educational merchandise, including computers, sports/fitness equipment and musical instruments.
We also participate in the General Mills Box Tops for Education Program. It’s easy! Here’s how it works: Simply clip and save Box Top logos from over 330 participating General Mills products and send them to school with your children. Participating products include: General Mills, Big G Cereals, all Betty Crocker products including Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, Yoplait Multi-Packs, Yoplait Go-GURT and Exprèsse, Lloyd’s Barbeque products and many others. Our school gets 10 cents for each Box Top we collect!
Our 8th graders are collecting soda can flip tabs. These tabs are collected and sent to the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia. This house helps families who have children in the hospital and need a place to stay. The flip tabs are made of pure aluminum and are easier to recycle.
We are fortunate to have found a company that will purchase empty inkjet & laser printer cartridges from us and we will be promoting this as a fundraiser for this school year.
Please bring all HP, Lexmark & Canon Inkjet and Laser cartridges (In a Ziploc Bag) to the school. New cartridges will be accepted as well.
This program is a safe, simple, quick and easy way of raising money for our school. Empty inkjet and laser cartridges can be collected from printers at home. Parents are also encouraged to collect cartridges from their places of employment and from their co-workers or neighbors. Cartridges should then be brought in to the school and placed at the collection site or handed in to the front office.
This program is based on the premise that we can earn money for our school and help recycle at the same time. This also gives us the opportunity to take part in protecting our earth by cutting down on the amount of trash in landfills.
We will collect these cartridges throughout the entire school year. When the empty cartridges are brought to school, it is recommended that they be put in a ziploc bag or cellophane wrap to prevent any possible leakage on hands, clothing, backpacks, etc.
With your assistance this is going to be an extremely profitable way to raise money for our school and enhance the education of our students.
For a complete list of what ink cartridges we can use click on the far right image at the bottom of this page.
